National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested two persons including a jail official for allegedly conniving with a man to send youth to Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PaK) for arms training.

The two persons are identified as Ishaq Palla, a Shopian resident and Feroz Ahmad Lone of Budgam.

The statement by NIA said that case pertains to an attempt by Suhail Ahmad Bhat and Danish Ghulam Lone, to travel Pakistan administered Kashmir for arms training for “waging war against the State”.  The duo was allegedly motivated by Palla, when he has lodged at Central prison Srinagar in a different case and he was instrumental in hatching the “conspiracy” from Jail.

In this conspiracy, Palla was actively assisted by Feroz Lone. Feroz was posted as Deputy Jail Superintendent Central Jail Srinagar, the statement said.

The spokesman further said that accused persons were in contact with each other through blackberry messenger and were finally apprehended on October 30, 2017.

Ishaq Palla has been remanded to 10 days’ NIA custody by the Spl NIA court Jammu and Feroz Ahmad Lone will be produced before the Court today for seeking his custody.
