Two militants were killed in an ongoing gunfight with the government forces in Bunpora Muniward area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district, an army spokesperson said.
Colonel Rajesh Kalia said that two militants were killed in the ongoing gunfight. He said that the bodies are lying at the site of the gunfight. “The exchange of fire is still on,” he added.
The gunfight broke out around 5 am in Muniward area near Khanabal area of the district after forces launched a search operation.
An official said the militants hiding in a house opened fire on the forces, triggering a gunfight today morning.
When reports last came in, the intermittent exchange of firing was going on.
