A high level delegation of Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) Jammu and Kashmir visited the home of late Muhammad Yaseen Itoo and rich tributes were paid to him.

According to a statement issued to KNS, the delegation was led by Advocate Zahid Ali (JeI spokesperson) who extended heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family and on this occasion discussed the reality of this worldly life in the light of the teachings of Islam and stressed upon the listeners to follow the teachings of Quran and Sunnah in letter and spirit and utilize all their efforts for the establishment of the Islam system of justice so as to make this region a peaceful abode.

Moreover, Jama’at-e-Islami expressed its deep concern over the “police highhandedness perpetrated upon the innocent people in the Pulwama town and stress upon the authorities to stop these atrocities”.

“Police during nocturnal raids have committed various atrocities upon the dwellers and in addition to harassing them, has demonstrated contemptuous attitude towards the womenfolk which is most condemnable,” the statement said.
