Jamiat Ahilhadees president Prof Ghulam Ahmad Butt Almadani Saturday condemned the ransacking of sacred Jamia Masjid Srinagar.
In a statement, Butt while terming the attack on Jamia Masjid as unacceptable, he said, “the rulers who have no respect for places of worship have no right to call themselves civilized humans.”
Butt said that teargas shelling and beating people engaged in prayers and ransacking a Masjid, “shows that mindset of so-called rulers”.
He said, “a Muslim can accept anything but he cannot tolerate attacks of Masjid.”
Butt also condemned the assault on journalists at Jamia Masjid Srinagar by some unknown person and also attacks on students by police and forces at Kashmir University.
