SRINAGAR: Jamkash Vehicleades (Kashmir) Pvt. Ltd., a Maruti Suzuki dealership, on Thursday launched the all-new Baleno 2026 in Srinagar, with the premium hatchback bringing a new engine, upgraded safety features and technology to the market.

The launch event was attended by Srinagar Regional Transport Officer Qazi Irfan, Jamkash Vehicleades Managing Director Irfan Ahmad, Chief Operating Officer Amber Ahmed, CGM A R Bhat, senior company officials, customers and representatives of J&K Bank, SBI, Mahindra Finance and HDFC Bank.
The new Baleno is priced from Rs 5.99 lakh for the base Sigma variant, while the higher variants are priced between Rs 6.10 lakh and Rs 9 lakh, with the top-end Alpha variant priced at up to Rs 9.99 lakh, all ex-showroom.
The 2026 model replaces the earlier four-cylinder petrol engine with a 1.2-litre Z-Series three-cylinder petrol engine. It is offered with a five-speed manual and an AMT automatic transmission, with fuel efficiency claimed at up to 24.7 km/l for the AMT version.
A key highlight of the new model is the introduction of Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), described by the company as a first-in-segment feature. The car also gets six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Head-Up Display, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging with active cooling and a SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system.
Speaking at the launch, Qazi Irfan congratulated Jamkash Vehicleades and said the Baleno had already established itself among India’s best-selling premium hatchbacks. He expressed confidence that the new model’s safety features, technology and refreshed design would further strengthen its appeal among customers.
Jamkash Vehicleades said the launch reaffirmed its focus on bringing new technology and products to customers across Jammu and Kashmir.
