SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Bank advanced its mission of implementing the ‘Ghar Ghar KCC Abhiyaan’ by organising Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Saturation Camps across the Union Territory.

Prakash, the Managing Director and CEO, personally visited the Chhoon area camp in Budgam district, where he distributed sanction letters to the PM Kisan beneficiaries.

Accompanied by key bank officials, including Divisional Head (Kashmir) Tabasum Nazir, Zonal Head (Budgam) Sadat Hussain, DGM Nishikant Sharma, Cluster Head Javid Rashid, and LDM Ashfaq Hussain, MD & CEO Baldev Prakash addressed the gathering.

The camp, held in collaboration with various line departments such as Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries, aimed to extend the benefits of the KCC Scheme to all PM Kisan beneficiaries.

In his address, Baldev Prakash emphasised the significance of agriculture in the economy, stating, “Agriculture is the mainstay of our economy, and our farmers deserve unwavering support.” He highlighted that the ‘Ghar Ghar KCC Abhiyaan’ sought to ensure every farmer’s access to affordable credit facilities, fostering universal financial inclusion.

During the camp, the MD and CEO distributed 35 sanction letters totalling Rs 32 Lacs among PM Kisan beneficiaries under the KCC Scheme. Expressing the bank’s commitment to rural progress in Jammu and Kashmir, he stated, “In Jammu and Kashmir, we are in a mission mode to accomplish the Government’s objective of 100 per cent KCC saturation.” He underscored the role of Kisan Credit Cards in enhancing agricultural productivity and contributing to national prosperity.

Baldev Prakash urged eligible farmers to take advantage of the tailored finance scheme, designed to provide timely and adequate credit support with a simplified procedure. Additionally, he directed officials to instantly provide RuPay debit cards to beneficiaries, facilitating their participation in the growing digital banking ecosystem.
