SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Bank marked a significant step towards enhanced digital banking and payment convenience for its customers on Monday, unveiling two new offerings, Soft POS and Premium Debit Cards.
MD & CEO Baldev Prakash, speaking at the launch event held at the Zonal Headquarters in Jammu, lauded the Bank’s team for their unwavering commitment to improving customer experience through innovative digital solutions. “I’m proud to witness the continuous evolution of our digital offerings, not only feature-rich and competitively priced but also delivering industry-leading service and experience,” he said.
Recognising the country’s burgeoning mobile phone usage, Prakash emphasised the transformative potential of Soft POS, saying, “With the unprecedented growth and use of mobile phones, Soft POS will revolutionise business payments by simplifying, securing, and streamlining transaction management. Our operating teams must leverage these new products and services to elevate customer service, particularly on digital platforms.”
Following the launch, General Manager (CCB) Narjay Gupta elaborated on the features of Soft POS. “The Bank’s Soft POS App enables contactless payments via MasterCard, Visa, and Rupay networks, accepting Debit and Credit Card transactions through a simple tap. Additionally, the App comes with a value-added Cash Register (e-Khata) feature, recording both cash and card transactions, providing seamless record-keeping and data analysis for merchants to optimize their POS operations,” he said.
Shifting focus to Premium Debit Cards, General Manager (DLM) Syed Shafat Hussain Rufai remarked, “We’ve carefully designed two Premium Debit Card variants, each packed with attractive features tailored to specific customer segments.”
These premium cards boast higher daily purchase and cash withdrawal limits, alongside exclusive lounge access at select domestic and international airports. Additionally, cardholders enjoy perks like complimentary shopping vouchers, golf service discounts, free Wellness App subscriptions, and more.
