SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Taekwondo Union emerged victorious at the recently concluded 6th National Taekwondo Championship in Odisha, held on December 30th and 31st, 2023.

The union’s participants showcased exceptional skill and determination, clinching an impressive tally of 19 medals – 9 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze.

Gold medalists include Numair Shabir, Rabia Tariq, Syed Arsh, Mehvish Shaban, Rutba Manzoor, Umi Farwah, Ifra Zehra, Adeeba Arfat, and Darafshan. Silver medals were secured by Faizan, Safoora Wahid, Aliya Azmat, Kartik Koul, Mutahar, and Umi Hani, while the bronze medals went to Adnan Gulzar, Musa, Shahzaib, and Arslaan Azmat.

Dawood Sofi, the General Secretary of the J&K Taekwondo Union, expressed immense pride in the achievements of the athletes. He extended gratitude to the Indian Taekwondo Union for their steadfast support in facilitating the participation of these exceptional talents.
