SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has declared public holidays for 2024. Government Order No 1583-JK(GAD) of 2023, dated December 11, 2023, issued by the General Administration Department of the Civil Secretariat, Jammu and Kashmir, details the designated holidays for the upcoming year.
The list of public holidays includes Republic Day on January 26, 2024, Mahashivratri on March 8, 2024 (Friday), Holi (Jammu Province only) on March 25, 2024 (Monday), Yearly Closing of Banks (Banks Only) on April 1, 2024 (Monday).
Jumat-ul-Vida on April 5, 2024 (Friday), Shab-I-Qadr on April 7, 2024 (Sunday), 1st Navratra on April 9, 2024 (Tuesday), Eid-ul-Fitr on April 13, 2024 (Thursday), Baisakhi on April 14, 2024 (Friday), Birthday of Dr B R Ambedkar on May 23, 2024, Buddha Purnima on June 17-18, 2024 (Monday & Tuesday), Eid-ul-Azha on July 5, 2024 (Friday), Guru Hargobind Ji’s Birthday on July 17, 2024 (Wednesday).
