SRINAGAR: The Economic Offences Wing, Crime Branch Jammu has presented a 504-page charge-sheet against the accused, Parvin Kumar Ninawe, son of Krishan Rao Ninawe, residing at Choti Dhantoli near Pervardhan Ground Renuka Mata Enclave Nagpur, Maharashtra.

This action follows his involvement in cheating and duping the complainant, Suresh Gupta, son of Ved Parkash Gupta, residing at Krishna Nagar, and proprietor of Shona Trust Corp., Nehru Market Jammu. The charges are filed under FIR No. 45/2019, Section 420 IPC, Police Station Economic Offences Wing, Crime Branch, Jammu, in the Court of Law. The case involves a sum of Rs 1.70 crores.

Suresh Gupta, in his written complaint to the Economic Offences Wing, Crime Branch Jammu, stated, “Being the proprietor of M/S Shona Trust Corp., engaged in the business of sale-purchase and supply of food grains, I made an advance payment of Rs 3,11,00,000 to the accused for the supply of food grains. However, the accused only supplied goods worth Rs 1,41,45,258, and the remaining amount was neither returned nor were any additional goods supplied. Furthermore, the accused issued a cheque for Rs 60 lakhs, but it was dishonoured by the bank authorities.”

Following the complaint, a preliminary verification substantiated the allegations, leading to the registration of a formal case under relevant sections of the law for an in-depth probe.

During the investigation, material evidence in the form of documentary records was collected, statements of the complainant and witnesses were recorded, and offenses under Section 420 IPC were established against Parvin Kumar Ninawe. Currently, he is on bail as per the order of the Court of Sub Judge Jammu.
