Officials said the land, measuring eight kanals under Khasra No. 315, is situated at Village Narsoo in Chenani along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

According to the administration, the property had been under the occupation of a known drug peddler before it was reclaimed during the anti-narcotics drive.

The action was carried out jointly by the District Administration and Chenani Police as part of the government’s continuing campaign against the drug menace and illegal occupation of public property.

Officials said the retrieval of the state land forms part of sustained efforts under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan to curb the narcotics network and prevent those involved in drug-related activities from benefiting from illegally occupied government assets.
