SRINAGAR: A high-level meeting was held at the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Wednesday to review preparations for implementing the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) ahead of the forthcoming Autumn Session.
The meeting was chaired by Achal Sethi, Secretary, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, in coordination with Manoj Kumar Pandit, Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
Officials reviewed technical readiness, digital processing of legislative business, system integration and coordination between the departments involved in rolling out the platform.
The meeting stressed the need to complete all pending technological and administrative arrangements before the session begins to ensure the smooth functioning of the digital system.
NeVA is intended to support paperless legislative proceedings by enabling the digital processing and handling of legislative documents and business. The platform is expected to reduce the Assembly’s reliance on physical paperwork and improve communication between legislators, the Assembly and government departments.
Officials were directed to maintain close coordination and resolve outstanding technical and procedural issues in time for the Autumn Session.
The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly’s NeVA portal has also listed the Autumn Session 2026 along with related notices, indicating that preparations for the session and its digital proceedings are under way.
