SRINAGAR: Four legislators, including two each from the BJP and Congress, were marshalled out of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Monday following an uproar during the proceedings.
BJP MLAs Arvind Gupta and Vikram Randhawa and Congress legislators Advocate Irfan Hafeez Lone and Iftikhar Ahmed were escorted out of the House by marshals after protests and heated exchanges disrupted proceedings.
The intervention came as members raised slogans and created a commotion on the floor of the Assembly.
Marshals subsequently intervened and removed the four legislators from the House in an effort to restore order.
