Jammu Kashmir Bank Enhances Campus Mobility, Banking Access at IIM Jammu

   

SRINAGAR: In a move to promote safe, eco-friendly mobility and enhance banking convenience, J and K Bank has provided four electric vehicles (e-vehicles) to the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program. The Bank also inaugurated an ATM within the institute’s premises.

On the occasion, the General Manager and Divisional Head (Jammu), Sunit Kumar, handed over the symbolic key of the e-vehicles to the Director of IIM Jammu, Prof BS Sahay. The ceremony was attended by the Chief Administrative Officer of IIM, Kesavan Baskkaran, Cluster Head (Jammu Cluster-II), Arjun Singh Rathore, and officials from both organisations.

The e-vehicles are aimed at providing safe and eco-friendly transportation for students, with a special focus on women and differently-abled individuals. The vehicles are designed to ensure easier mobility around the campus, fostering a more inclusive environment.

In addition to the vehicles, the new ATM facility will offer convenient 24/7 banking access for the academic community.

Speaking at the event, Sunit Kumar emphasised the Bank’s commitment to customer convenience and public welfare. He said, “Our initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to sustainability and inclusivity. The provision of electric vehicles is a step towards ensuring safe, accessible, and eco-friendly mobility, while the new ATM will enhance banking services for the IIM Jammu community.”

Prof Sahay expressed his gratitude to the Bank for its continued support, highlighting that the initiatives align with the institute’s core values of accessibility, inclusivity, and sustainability. He added, “This partnership with JK Bank adds significant value to our campus by improving mobility options and providing seamless banking access.”
