KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown Across Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer Distribution of Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has issued a power shutdown schedule to facilitate maintenance work, branch cutting, and routine preventive operations on droppers and other equipment.

As per the schedule, power supply to GSS Bemina, Pattan, and Wanganpora, including 33 KV HMT, Narbal, and Shareefabad, will remain disrupted on November 10, 2024, from 09:00 AM to 04:30 PM. This will allow for the preventive maintenance of the 220 KV main bus and the 132 KV switchyard at GSS Zainakote.

On the same day, power supply to GSS Pattan and Magam will be affected from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM due to branch cutting and pruning along various 132 KV transmission lines, as well as maintenance work at grid stations.

Additionally, to carry out branch cutting on the corridors of the 132 KV D/C Habbak-Cheshmashahi and 132 KV D/C Pampore-Cheshmashahi Transmission Lines, power supply to the affected grid stations will be interrupted on November 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and on November 12, 13, and 14, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM.

Lastly, maintenance works on droppers, clamps, CT/PT breakers, and bus bars on both the 132 KV and 33 KV sides, along with branch cutting for the 132 KV D/C Bemina-Zainakote Transmission Line, will affect power supply to the feeding grid stations on November 10, 2024, from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM.

KPDCL has urged residents and businesses to take necessary precautions and plan accordingly for the scheduled outages.
