SRINAGAR: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Jammu & Kashmir Bank, Muneer Hassan Kongawani, has been honoured with the ‘CISO of the Year’ award at Enterprise Security Connect (ESCON) 2025, South Asia’s leading cybersecurity summit.
The award was presented during the ESCON 2025 conference held in Goa from May 16–18, organised by StrategINK Pvt. Ltd. The recognition highlights Kongawani’s exceptional leadership and impactful contributions to cybersecurity and information risk management across various industries.
The award was presented by Amitabh Kant, India’s G20 Sherpa and former CEO of NITI Aayog, who was the Chief Guest at the event.
Adding to his accolades, Kongawani was also recognised a day earlier as one of the ‘Smart CISOs of India’ by CIO AXIS, a national platform that acknowledges excellence and transformative leadership in the fields of IT and information security.
