SRINAGAR: Rajouri Police on Monday arrested an individual under the Public Safety Act in the interest of the state. He has been lodged in the District Jail Jammu following formal execution of the order.
A police statement reads, “District Police Rajouri has detained one Mohd Qasim S/O Talib Hussain R/O Gundha, Tehsil Khawas under the provisions of the Public Safety Act (PSA) in the interest of the security of the state.”
It is pertinent to mention that the said individual was involved in FIR No. 87/2023 U/S 212 IPC of Police Station Budhal, and his activities were found to be prejudicial to the security of the state and stability of the region. (JKNS)
