According to reports, the marriage was solemnised under the Special Marriage Act in New Delhi on Friday, with family members from both sides serving as witnesses.

Wedding functions were held in Srinagar and New Delhi and were attended by close relatives and family members.

Those present included Abdullah’s parents, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and Mollie Abdullah, his three sisters and other relatives. Razdan’s parents, veteran journalist M K Razdan and Sarla Razdan, also attended the functions.

This is the second marriage for both Abdullah, 56, and Razdan, 49.
