SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has assigned additional charges to 59 Assistant Accounts Officers (AAOs) across various government departments and field offices, with immediate effect and until further orders.
The assignments were made through Order Nos. 114-ACCTTS and 115-ACCTTS of 2026, both issued on July 27, by the Directorate General of Accounts and Treasuries, Finance Department.
Under Order No. 114-ACCTTS of 2026, additional charges were assigned to 30 AAOs. The officers have been given responsibility for financial and accounts-related work in departments and divisions including Mechanical Irrigation, Public Works (R and B), Irrigation and Flood Control, Jal Shakti, Power Development Corporation, KPDCL, JPDCL, PMGSY, Transport, Tribal Affairs, Agriculture, Horticulture, Floriculture, the State Election Commission and other offices.
Among the assignments, Basharat Salim Dar, AAO, Bone and Joint Hospital, Srinagar, has been given additional charge of AAO, Mechanical Irrigation Division, Srinagar, while Bashir Ahmad Khan, AAO, BDO Anantnag, and Javed Ahmad Dar, AAO, Sports Council, Srinagar, have been assigned additional charge of AAO, PW (R and B) Project Division-III, Srinagar.
Other key assignments under the order include Muzaffar Ahmad Hakim to Irrigation and Flood Control Division, Sopore; Mohmad Yousuf Sheikh to PW (RB) Division, Karan Nagar; Rafiq Ahmad Ganayee to Irrigation Division, Ompora, Budgam; and Javaid Ahmad Pal to Irrigation Division, Pulwama.
The order also assigns additional charge of AAO, JK Energy Development Agency (JKEDA), to Sumeer Ji Bhat, while Rakesh Gupta has been given charge of AAO, JK Road Safety Council. Nasir Iqbal Shah will hold additional charge of AAO, Directorate of Hospitality and Protocol, JK, and Abdul Rashid Dar will additionally oversee the accounts work of the Directorate of Tribal Affairs.
In Jammu division, additional charges include Salil Mahajan for the Commercial Division, JKPCL, Jammu; Anshu Thakur for PWD Division, Reasi; Sumesh Raina for PW (R and B) Division, Poonch; Zafer Javid for R and B Division, Kotranka; and Shabir Ahmad Naik for Electric Division, JPDCL, Batote.
Under Order No. 115-ACCTTS of 2026, additional charges were assigned to 29 AAOs across Kashmir and Jammu divisions. The assignments cover offices and divisions dealing with Jal Shakti, power, roads and buildings, irrigation and flood control, PMGSY, health, rural development, municipal administration, labour and employment, registration, state taxes and technical education.
Key assignments under the second order include Javeed Ahmad Wani, who has been given additional charge of AAO, PHE (Jal Shakti) Rural Water Supply Division, Ganderbal; Mudasir Ahmad Khan, who will additionally hold the charge of AAO, Chief Engineer, Project Wing, PDD, Srinagar; and Zahoor Ahmad Malik, who will hold additional charge of AAO, R and B Division, Budgam.
The order also assigns Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone additional charge of AAO, PMGSY Division, Ganderbal; Mohd Shafi Shah to PMGSY, Kupwara; Abdul Rashid Bhat to the office of Chief Medical Officer, Ganderbal; and Aijaz Ahmad Dar to the office of Chief Medical Officer, Shopian.
Other assignments include Vaseem Raja Khan to Electric Division-III, KPDCL, Srinagar; Ishtiyaq Mohi-Ud-Din Shah to Electric Division, KPDCL, Budgam; Manmeet Singh to the office of Chief Pay and Accounts Officer, JKPTCL; Mohammad Junaid to Irrigation and Flood Control Division, Srinagar; and Tanveer Yaqoob to Electric Division, JPDCL, Rajouri.
In the health and administrative sectors, Karamat Tajamul Islam has been assigned additional charge of AAO, Jal Shakti (PHE) Division, Bijbehara; Ramesh Lal will hold additional charge of AAO, Labour and Employment Department; Neha Salathia will additionally serve as AAO, Government Polytechnic, Jammu; and Hardeep Singh has been assigned additional charge of AAO, Commissioner, State Taxes Department, JK.
The Finance Department said the additional charge arrangements have been made in the interest of administration, and all assignments will remain effective with immediate effect until further orders.
