SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department has kept in abeyance three transfer and posting orders issued over the past two days, with immediate effect and until further orders.
The decision was issued through Forest Order No. 203 of 2026, dated September 30, by the Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force (HoFF), J&K.
The order places Forest Orders No. 200 and 201, both dated September 28, and Forest Order No. 202, dated September 29, in abeyance.
It also directs that the joining and relieving arrangements made under the three orders will remain on hold. The officers and officials affected by the orders have been directed to continue discharging their duties at their previous places of posting with immediate effect.
The Forest Department said the decision was issued in accordance with instructions conveyed by the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment through communication No. PS/Min(R) 1850/2026 dated September 29, 2026.
The order was issued by Ajaz Ahmad, KAS, Personnel Officer, under endorsement No. PCCF/G/Est./G/66227/3848-95 dated September 30.
