SRINAGAR: The Directorate of Rural Development Department, Jammu, has assigned the additional charge of four vacant development blocks in Samba and Rajouri districts to serving Block Development Officers (BDOs) until regular appointments are made.
According to two separate orders issued on September 11, Parul Khajuria, Jr JKAS, BDO Bari Brahmana, has been given the additional charge of Block Samba, while Kunal Singh, Jr JKAS, BDO Nud, will additionally look after Block Sumb.
In Rajouri district, Amjed Mehmood, Jr JKAS, BDO Dhangri, has been assigned the additional charge of Block Plangarh. Ijaz Ahmed, Jr JKAS, BDO Manjakote, will hold the additional charge of Block Panjgrain.
The officers will perform the additional responsibilities alongside their existing duties until the respective posts are filled by the competent authority.
The Samba assignments were made through Order No. 442-DRDJ of 2026, issued with reference to a letter from the Assistant Commissioner Development, Samba, dated September 9.
The Rajouri assignments were issued under Order No. 444-DRDJ of 2026 following a letter from the Assistant Commissioner Development, Rajouri, dated September 10.
