The continued accreditation recognises the laboratory’s adherence to quality standards, technical competence and reliable analytical testing, besides its efforts towards continual improvement, according to an official statement issued on Thursday.

As part of the development, the laboratory has expanded its analytical capacity and can now test 59 pesticide formulations used in the agricultural sector.

The laboratory has also developed the capability to analyse double-molecule pesticide formulations, a facility introduced for the first time since its establishment.

The expansion is expected to strengthen pesticide quality assessment and monitoring in the Jammu region, the statement said.
