SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has announced official rates for PET scans and CBCT machine services in all government-run hospitals and health institutions under the Health and Medical Education Department, excluding SKIMS.

According to a government order issued by the Health and Medical Education Department, the revised rates are as follows:
PET Scan (Whole Body): Rs. 10,000
PET Scan (Cardiac Metabolism): Rs. 4,000
PET-Guided Biopsy: Rs. 1,200
PET Scan Review (from outside): Rs. 600
CBCT Machine Charges: Rs. 1,200
This initiative aims to make advanced diagnostic services more affordable, particularly for patients from economically weaker sections.
A government spokesperson stated that the decision reflects the administration’s commitment to providing accessible and cost-effective healthcare to the public. The new rates are expected to ease the financial burden on patients requiring critical diagnostic procedures.
