SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns to facilitate branch cutting, preventive maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades. The planned outages will impact several areas in South Kashmir on 23 and 24 November 2024, as detailed by the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL.

To conduct branch cutting and routine preventive maintenance on the 33KV Lassipora-Keegam line, the following areas will face power outages from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM:
Receiving Stations Affected: Keegam, Gulshanabad, Mitrigam, Charipora
Areas Affected: Murran, Rahmoo, Mitrigam, Hall, Keegam, Rajpora, Gulshanabad, Akhal, Charipora, Pakherpora, and Kamrazipora.

Several shutdowns have been scheduled to facilitate conductor upgrades, cable laying, and maintenance work near Grid Station Awantipora.
33KV Awantipora-Naroo Line
Receiving Stations Affected: Naroo, LIS Koil-II
Areas Affected: Ratnipora, Lajoora, Naroo, Talangam, and Uthoora
Timings: 10:00 AM to 04:30 PM
33KV Awantipora-Sangam (First Line)
Receiving Stations Affected: Marhama (STD Bijbehara), Khedam (STD Bijbehara), Sangam (STD Bijbehara), Khellan
Areas Affected: Rakh Litter, Naina Batpora, Khellan
Timings: 10:00 AM to 04:30 PM
33KV Awantipora-Sangam (Second Line)
Receiving Stations Affected: K-Koot, Panzgam
Areas Affected: Saimoh, K-Koot, Hariparigam, Kaigam, Chakoora, Gulzarpora, Panzgam, Railway, and Panzgam Agriculture areas
Timings: 10:00 AM to 04:30 PM
The planned outages are part of KPDCL’s ongoing efforts to enhance power infrastructure and ensure a reliable electricity supply.
KPDCL has urged residents in the affected areas to bear with the temporary inconvenience, noting that these upgrades and maintenance activities are essential for improving the reliability of the power supply.
