SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has designated departments to serve as feeding departments for six ministers, with Ali Mohammad Sagar, Sakeena Itoo, Javed Ahmad Rana, Mir Saifullah, Shamim Firdous and Altaf Ahmad Wani assigned the respective administrative portfolios.
The General Administration Department (GAD) issued Government Order No. 1738-JK(GAD) of 2026 on November 4, partially modifying its earlier order of October 22, 2024.
According to the order, the Revenue Department, Power Development Department, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department, Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR) Department and Election Department will serve as feeding departments for Ali Mohammad Sagar.
Sakeena Itoo has been assigned the Health and Medical Education Department and the Social Welfare Department as her feeding departments.
For Javed Ahmad Rana, the designated departments are Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Tribal Affairs, Health and Medical Education, and Transport.
Mir Saifullah will have the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, Culture Department, Youth Services and Sports Department, and ARI and Trainings Department as his feeding departments.
The order designates the School Education Department, Higher Education Department and Jal Shakti Department as feeding departments for Shamim Firdous.
Altaf Ahmad Wani has been assigned the Forest, Ecology and Environment Department and the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department.
