SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has accepted the resignation of Dr Afshana Qayoom, Medical Officer at NTPHC Batagund in Langate block, and discharged her from the JK Health and Family Welfare (Gazetted) Service with effect from February 17, 2026.
The Health and Medical Education Department issued Government Order No. 608-JK(HME) of 2026 on August 6, terminating her probation under Rule 21(1) of the JK Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
According to the order, Dr Afshana has been discharged from the service on her own request with effect from February 17, 2026.
The order was issued on the basis of a communication from the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir, bearing No. Est/3/1-133/2024-38 (E-7923835), dated July 14, 2026.
