SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Transport Department on Tuesday sanctioned the release of over Rs Three crore for the purchase of eight new vehicles for Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
According to an order, Rs 3.04 crore has been allocated to procure eight Toyota Fortuners for the chief minister. The order specifies that four vehicles will be designated for the chief minister’s use in Delhi, while two each will be stationed in Kashmir and Jammu.
The sanction is subject to the condition that there shall be no idle parking of funds and no additional driver posts will be created. (KNO)
