SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved the inter-divisional mutual transfer of two teachers from Anantnag and Doda districts on a reciprocal basis for a period of two years.
The School Education Department issued the order in August 2026, approving the transfer of Vikram Singh, Teacher at BMS Uttersoo, Zone Shangus, Anantnag, and Hilal Ahmad Khanday, Teacher at GHS Gadi, Zone Bhagwah, Doda.
The decision was taken on the basis of communications received from the Directorates of School Education Jammu and Kashmir.
Under the order, both teachers will be required to serve for a minimum of two years at their respective new places of posting.
The Government has stipulated that the teachers will retain their lien, seniority and promotion prospects in their parent cadres. However, they will not be eligible for promotion during the period covered by the transfer.
The order further states that the transfer is subject to the condition that the teachers have completed their prescribed tenure in RBA/ALC areas, wherever applicable, under the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004.
