SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has assigned additional charge of four District Information Officer (DIO) posts to serving officers, with the arrangements to continue until further orders.
As per Government Order No. 53-JK (ID) of 2026, issued by the Information Department on October 21, Mukesh Kumar, Jr. JKAS, who is posted as DIO Reasi, will additionally oversee Doda district.
Wajeeza, Jr. JKAS, the DIO in Pulwama, has been given additional charge of Ganderbal, while Kathua DIO Gurpreet Singh will also look after Kishtwar.
Similarly, Sajad Ahmad Shah, DIO Shopian, has been assigned additional charge of Anantnag.
The order also authorises the four officers to exercise Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) powers for the offices under their additional charge.
The assignments were made with reference to a letter issued by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Jammu and Kashmir, on October 5, 2026.
