SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has authorised the release of an additional 25 per cent of funds under the Revenue Budget for the financial year 2026-27, taking the cumulative release to 75 per cent of the approved Budget Estimates.
In an official memorandum dated August 25, the department said the additional funds would be released through the Budget Estimation, Allocation and Monitoring System (BEAMS) to all departments to meet budgetary requirements related to salaries and other salary-nature expenditure during the current financial year.
The authorisation covers the following detailed heads: Salary; Honorarium and Remuneration; Wages; Grant-in-Aid (Salary); Stipend and Scholarship; Diet Expenses; Pensionery Benefits under the Social Welfare Department’s Integrated Social Security Scheme; Pensionery Charges under the National Pension System; and Leave Encashment.
The latest authorisation is issued in continuation of Government Order No. 149-F of 2026 dated April 1, 2026.
The Finance Department said utilisation of the funds by departments would remain subject to the conditions stipulated in the April 1 government order.
The memorandum, issued with the approval of the competent authority, was addressed to all Administrative Secretaries and signed by Mohammad Shafait Rehman, Deputy Director (Budget), Finance Department.
The authorisation provides departments with additional budgetary resources for meeting salary and related expenditure during the 2026-27 financial year.
