SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has rescinded the transfer order of Megha Baogia, Deputy Director (Economics and Statistics), which had shifted her from the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports to the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department.
According to Government Order No. 66-JK(PD&MD) of 2026 dated June 4, the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department cancelled, ab initio, Government Order No. 56-JK(PD and MD) of 2026 dated May 18, 2026, under which Baogia had been transferred.
The order states that the decision was taken “in the interest of administration”. As a result, the transfer order stands withdrawn with immediate effect.
