Jammu Kashmir Govt Constitutes Committee to Review State Data Centre DPR

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government has set up a Technical Appraisal Committee to review the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the “Mid Term Augmentation of JK State Data Centre”, according to an order from the General Administration Department.

The committee has been formed under a Finance Department notification to carry out a thorough technical evaluation of the DPR before the project is executed in the Union Territory.

It will be chaired by the Chief Executive Officer of JaKeGA and will include representatives from NIELIT, National Informatics Centre JK, IIT Jammu, NIT Srinagar, and the Information Technology Department, with the Under Secretary of the IT Department serving as Member Convenor.

The panel’s responsibilities include examining the DPR across technical, financial, administrative, legal, and operational aspects, assessing whether its objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and outcomes are well-defined, realistic, and aligned with approved policies.

The committee will also scrutinise the technical architecture, design specifications, interoperability, scalability, security, and sustainability of the project to ensure compliance with government standards.

The committee has been directed to submit its report to the IT Department within 21 days, with the Member Convenor coordinating meetings and ensuring timely completion of the appraisal.
