Jammu Kashmir: Govt Constitutes Technical Committee for Inspection of Hari Parbat Light and Sound Project

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a four-member Technical Committee to carry out a Third Party Inspection (TPI) of the Light and Sound Show System installed inside Hari Parbat Fort in Srinagar.

According to Government Order No. 1035-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated June 3, the committee will be headed by the Chief Engineer, Public Works (R and B) Department, Central Kashmir. Other members include the Executive Engineer, Electric Division-IV, Sub-Division Hawal of the Power Development Department, the Executive Engineer (Mechanical) from the office of the Chief Engineer, PW (R and B), Central Kashmir, and a representative of the Information Technology Department to be nominated by the Administrative Secretary.

The committee has been tasked with conducting a physical inspection of all project components installed at the site and verifying the performance and compliance of the audio-visual systems, including acoustic and sound engineering features.

It will also inspect electrical systems, lighting installations and related infrastructure, assess conformity with approved technical specifications and project design, and evaluate the overall quality, safety and operational readiness of the system.

The committee has been directed to submit a comprehensive report detailing its findings and recommendations on the project’s technical compliance.
