SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has extended the deadline for displaced families from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) to apply for one-time relief assistance of Rs 5.5 lakh until March 31, 2027.
The extension has been notified by the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction through Government Order No. 75-JK(DMRRR) of 2026.
Under the order, families who have not yet availed themselves of the financial assistance have been asked to submit their applications to the concerned department before the revised deadline.
The extension provides additional time to eligible displaced families who have so far been unable to complete the application process and claim the one-time relief assistance.
