SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has extended the tenure of Sheikh Aijaz Bashir as the officer holding the additional charge of Director Colleges in the Higher Education Department until a regular appointment is made.
The decision was issued through Government Order No. 241-JK(HE) of 2026, by the Higher Education Department.
According to the order, issued in continuation of Government Order No. 366-JK(HE) of 2024 dated july 8, 2024, Sheikh Aijaz Bashir will continue to discharge the responsibilities of Director Colleges in addition to his existing duties.
The government said the arrangement will remain in force until a regular incumbent is appointed to the post.
