SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a Regular Departmental Action against Mubarak Ahmad Ganie, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of the Public Works (R&B) Division, Sopore, in connection with an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) case registered in Baramulla.
The action has been initiated in connection with FIR No. 13/2024 registered under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, at Police Station ACB, Baramulla.
Through Government Order No. 329-PW(R&B) of 2026 dated September 24, the Government appointed Er. Beiza Rafiq, In-Charge Superintending Engineer (Civil), PW(R&B) Circle Bandipora, as the Inquiry Officer.
Er. Javeed Hafiz Facktoo, In-Charge Executive Engineer, R&B Division Sopore, has been appointed as the Presenting Officer for the departmental proceedings.
The appointments have been made under Rule 33 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
The Inquiry Officer has been directed to submit the inquiry report and findings within 30 days of the issuance of the Government order.
The inquiry will examine the case of Ganie, including his response and other related facts, and determine whether the allegations and charges framed against him are sustained, with reasons for the findings.
The Government has also clarified that any subsequent change in the postings of the Inquiry Officer or Presenting Officer will not prevent them from carrying out the responsibilities assigned under the order.
