Jammu Kashmir Govt Orders Departmental Probe Against Executive Engineer

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has initiated regular departmental proceedings against Er. Rajinder Kumar, the then Executive Engineer, Public Works (R and B) Construction Division IV SSA/RMSA (now SAMAGRA Division III and IV), and appointed an Inquiry Officer to conduct an in-depth probe into the charges against the retired officer in connection with an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) case.

According to Government Order No. 241-PW(R and B) of 2026, the Public Works (R and B) Department has appointed Er. Abhishek Gupta, In-charge Superintending Engineer, PMGSY Circle Jammu, as the Inquiry Officer, while Er. Sandeep Gupta, In-charge Executive Engineer, Public Works (R and B) Division Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, has been designated as the Presenting Officer.

The order states that the departmental inquiry has been initiated under Rule 33 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, to examine the charges levelled against Er. Rajinder Kumar in FIR No. 05/2020 registered at Police Station ACB, Jammu.

As per the terms of reference, the Inquiry Officer has been directed to submit the inquiry report within 30 days from the date of issuance of the order. The officer will examine the allegations, the response of the delinquent engineer and all related records before recording clear findings on whether the charges are substantiated, along with reasons.

The order further states that any subsequent change in the postings of the Inquiry Officer or the Presenting Officer shall not affect their responsibility to complete the inquiry assigned under the government order.
