SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the immediate posting and adjustment of 30 doctors, including consultants, medical officers and dental surgeons, across healthcare institutions in Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen patient care and fill existing vacancies.
Under the order, Dr. Nalini Birpur, Consultant Ophthalmology, has been posted to AH Chowki Chaura; Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Tahir (MD Medicine), Consultant Medicine, to SDH D.H. Pora; Dr. Hibba Dar (MD Pharmacology), Medical Officer, to PHC Sholipora; Dr. Munaza Aman (MD Microbiology), Medical Officer, to SDH Beerwah; Dr. Madhu Bala (MD Pathology), Medical Officer, to DH Samba; Dr. Chandandeep Singh (MS Surgery), Medical Officer, to SDH Sunderbani; Dr. Iqbal Mushtaq Bhat (DNB Paediatrics), Medical Officer, to SDH Uri; Dr. Mairaj U Din Wani (MD Medicine), Medical Officer, to SDH Tangdhar; Dr. Kirandeep Kour Raina (MS Ophthalmology), Medical Officer, to SDH Jagti; and Dr. Rayees Ahmed Khanday (MS Surgery), Medical Officer, to SDH Bhaderwah.
The order further posts Dr. Renu Bala (MD Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion), Medical Officer, to DH Reasi; Dr. Tanveera Akhtar (MS Physiology), Medical Officer, to the Mobile Blindness Centre, Rajouri; and Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad Dagga (MS Surgery), who was attached to the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu, to Trauma Hospital Thathri. Other Medical Officers posted under the order include Dr. Syed Raja Junaid to PHC Verinag, Dr. Wasim Qadir (DNB Paediatrics) to CHC Gurez, Dr. Shariq Hussain (MS Orthopaedics) to DH Bandipora, Dr. Humaira Aslam (MD Pathology) to SDH Sopore, Dr. Parveez Ahmad Pandit (MD Biochemistry) to SDH Langate, Dr. Gh. Mohd. Mir (MS ENT) to SDH Tangmarg, Dr. Hina Ishaq (MD Psychiatry) to DH Budgam, Dr. Romana Rashid (MD Hospital Administration) to PHC Hardpanzoo in Block Khansahib, and Dr. Farooq Sidieq Dar (MD Pathology) to SDH Sopore.
The department has also filled several vacancies for dental surgeons. Dr. Nowshaba has been posted to PHC Sultandaki, Baramulla; Dr. Shaista Naaz to SDH Tangmarg; Dr. Mehraj Ahmed Kirmani to PHC Dangiwachi; Dr. Amina Samoon to PHC Trehgam; Dr. Sibat Mohammad Mujtaba to PHC Magam, Kupwara; Dr. Nusrat to CHC Hajin; Dr. Neelofer Jan to PHC Newa, Pulwama; and Dr. Ashiq Hussain to PHC Natnoosa, Kupwara.
The government has directed the Directors of Health Services, Jammu and Kashmir, to ensure implementation of the order and submit a compliance report to the Administrative Department within five days.
