SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Directorate of Economics and Statistics has promoted four Head Assistants to the post of Section Officer in the department’s subordinate service, with their new postings ordered with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 337-DES of 2026, dated 10 October, the promotions were approved on the recommendation of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), which met on 24 September 2026.
The officials promoted are Anil Kumar, Mohammad Ilyas Wani, Rashid Jabbar Ganai and Ghulam Hassan Itoo.
As part of the administrative adjustments, Mohammad Ilyas Wani has been posted to the office of the Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Srinagar, against an available Section Officer post. Anil Kumar will continue at the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, J&K, against an available post in the same capacity.
Rashid Jabbar Ganai has been posted to the office of the CPO, Jammu, against an available Section Officer position, while Ghulam Hassan Itoo has been adjusted to the office of the CPO, Anantnag, against an available post.
