SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered that the suspension of Er. Manzoor Ahmad Dar, an In-Charge Executive Engineer arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), be treated as effective from the date of his arrest on March 28, 2026.
The decision was issued by the Public Works (R and B) Department through Government Order No. 300-PW (R and B) of 2026 dated August 25, 2026.
Dar, who was serving on deputation as In-Charge Executive Engineer in the PHE Mechanical Division, South Awantipora, was arrested by the ACB, Srinagar, on March 28 in connection with FIR No. 02/2026 registered at Police Station ACB, Anantnag.
Following his arrest, the Jal Shakti Department had placed him under suspension through Government Order No. 55-JK(JSD) of 2026 dated April 7, 2026.
The latest order, issued under Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956, directs that his suspension will be deemed to have commenced from March 28, the date of his arrest.
During the suspension period, Dar will remain attached to the office of the Chief Engineer, M and HD Kashmir. He will be entitled to a subsistence allowance equivalent to 50 per cent of his pay and dearness allowance, in accordance with Article 108-A of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulations, 1956.
The order further states that the subsistence allowance will be drawn against an equivalent or higher post available with the Chief Engineer, M and HD Kashmir, as per the prescribed rules.
