SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued orders for the transfer, posting, and additional charge assignments of several Assistant Accounts Officers (AAOs) with immediate effect, in the interest of administration.
According to Government Order No. 09-Acctts of 2026 issued by the Finance Department, Nasir Majeed Mir, currently posted as AAO in the Mechanical and Hospital Division, Handwara, has been transferred to the office of the Directorate General of Prisons, Jammu Kashmir.
Manmeet Singh, AAO, Dy Director Audit and Inspections, Kashmir, has been posted to the office of Executive Engineer, SD Division-I, UEED, Srinagar, relieving Moin Ahmad of additional charge. Ghulam Mustafa Haroo, AAO, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, has been transferred to the Dy Directorate Audit and Inspections, Kashmir, replacing Manmeet Singh.
The order further stipulates that Rakesh Kumar, AAO, JKPTCL (TLMD-IV), Jammu, will continue his duties while also looking after accounts-related work in the Corporate Office of JPQCL, Jammu, until further orders. Similarly, Parvez Ahmad Bhat, AAO, PHE Division, Handwara, has been assigned additional charge of the Mechanical Hospital Division, Handwara, alongside his current responsibilities.
All officials mentioned in the order are deemed to have been relieved from their previous postings with immediate effect.
The transfers and additional charge assignments are intended to streamline administrative functions and ensure continuity in departmental operations across Jammu and Kashmir.
