Jammu Kashmir Govt Places 18 Junior Scale Accounts Officers As In-Charge Chief Accounts Officers

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has placed 18 Junior Scale Accounts Officers as In-Charge Chief Accounts Officers for six months or until vacancies in the Jammu and Kashmir Accounts Service are filled on a regular basis, whichever is earlier.

The Finance Department issued Government Order No. 296-F of 2026 on September 17, sanctioning the placements in the officers’ existing pay and grade along with charge allowance as admissible under rules.

The arrangement has been made on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee/Public Service Commission and will remain in force until regular appointments are made against the available vacancies.

The officers placed as In-Charge Chief Accounts Officers are: Vriti Uppal, Narinder Singh, Mukesh Sharma, Aditi Sharma, Mehak Gupta, Waheed Ul Rashid, Imran Ahmad Kichloo, Yenbuerzal, Hitesh Kumar Chowdary, Showkat Ali, Satender Singh, Naseer Ahmad Rather, Manmit Kumar, Ajay Singh, Monika Parihar, Bilal Hussain, Mukesh Kumar,Mohit Thapa

The government said the placements were purely temporary and intended as a stop-gap administrative arrangement. The order specifies that the placement will not give the officers any preferential right to promotion as Chief Accounts Officers when regular appointments are made under the applicable rules.

The arrangement will also be subject to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before courts or tribunals of competent jurisdiction.

The officers will continue to serve at their existing places of posting until further orders.
