Ladakh Admin Constitutes Committee To Prepare City Logistics Plan For Leh

   

SRINAGAR: The Ladakh administration has constituted a City Logistics Coordination Committee (CLCC) to coordinate the preparation and implementation of a City Logistics Plan (CLP) for Leh after the town was identified for the exercise by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

The committee was constituted through Order No. 416-LA(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department on September 17.

The Administrative Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development Department will head the committee, while the Director of Urban Local Bodies has been designated as Nodal Officer-cum-Member Secretary.

The panel includes representatives from the Industries and Commerce Department, Public Works Department, Traffic Police, Regional Transport Office, Municipal Committee Leh and the Ladakh Pollution Control Committee. Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, Confederation of Indian Industry, truck and taxi operators, hotel and guest house operators, tour operators and transport associations have also been included.

The committee will work with DPIIT, GIZ and other stakeholders to facilitate the preparation and implementation of the logistics plan for Leh.

Its terms of reference include reviewing logistics-related issues, conducting stakeholder consultations and overseeing the preparation of the CLP.

The Nodal Officer-cum-Member Secretary will coordinate meetings, workshops and other activities related to the plan, while the chairman may invite additional officers or representatives as special invitees when required.

The committee will remain in place until the City Logistics Plan is completed, unless the competent authority orders otherwise.
