SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved the promotion of four officers and officials of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to senior posts, according to a government order issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department.
The promotions were sanctioned on the recommendations of the UT-level Departmental Promotion Committee of the Jammu Municipal Corporation, whose meeting was held on July 31, 2026.
Under Government Order No. 187-JK(HUD) of 2026, dated September 3, 2026, Ankush Kapoor has been promoted as Chief Informatics Officer in Pay Level-10A (Rs 56,600–Rs 1,79,800) with effect from July 31, 2026.
Raman Kumar Gupta has been promoted as Building Officer in Pay Level-8 (Rs 47,600–Rs 1,51,100) with effect from September 17, 2026.
Parveen Gupta has been promoted as Revenue Officer in Pay Level-8 (Rs 47,600–Rs 1,51,100) with effect from July 31, 2026.
Shabab Raza Rizvi has been promoted as Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Pay Level-8A (Rs 50,700–Rs 1,60,600) with effect from July 31, 2026.
The order was issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department on September 3, following communications received from the Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, on July 29, August 4 and August 25.
The promotions have been sanctioned by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir on the recommendations of the prescribed departmental promotion committee.
