SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday ordered the promotion of four members of the Jammu and Kashmir Private Secretaries to Head of Departments (Gazetted) Service as Senior Private Secretaries.
As per Government Order No. 489-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department, the promotions have been sanctioned following the recommendations of the Establishment-cum-Selection Committee, which met on February 9, 2026.
The promoted officers have been placed in Level-11 (Rs 67,700–Rs 2,08,700) on a prospective basis.
Those promoted include Hamid Ahmad Tramboo, Rajesh Kumar, Soma Kumar, and Anjali Raina.
The order states that the promotions shall remain subject to the outcome of any writ petition(s), if pending before any competent court of law.
