SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday attached immovable properties of three proclaimed offenders in Sopore sub-district as part of continued action against the terror ecosystem.
According to police, the action was executed by Sopore Police in connection with FIR No. 02/2008 registered under Sections 2/3 of the E and IMCO Act at Police Station Panzalla.
The proceedings were carried out at Nadihal in coordination with the Revenue Department against three accused persons who had been evading arrest for several years and were declared proclaimed offenders by a court under Section 87 CrPC.
The attached properties include land belonging to Reyaz Ahmad Lone (2 Kanal 16 Marlas), Aijaz Ahmad Lone (10 Marlas), and Mushtaq Ahmad Shah (2 Kanal).
Police said the attachment was carried out under Section 88 CrPC in compliance with court orders, following verification of revenue records and local inquiry. The process was conducted in the presence of revenue officials and independent witnesses, with all legal formalities completed.
Police stated that the action is part of sustained efforts to enforce the rule of law against absconding accused involved in activities prejudicial to the security and integrity of the nation.
