SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has promoted two officers of the Jammu Kashmir Rural Development (Gazetted) Service to the Time Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), according to Government Order No. 313-JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department on Thursday.
As per the order, Majid Manzoor Bhat and Ramesh Chander have been appointed to the Time Scale of JKAS in pay level 11 (Rs 67,700–Rs 2,08,700). The promotions will take effect notionally from January 1, 2025 and on a regular basis prospectively.
The order states that both officers will continue at their present places of posting until further orders.
The government also clarified that the promotions will remain subject to the outcome of any writ petitions, if pending, before the competent courts of law.
The appointments have been made in terms of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service Rules, 2008.
