SRINAGAR: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday raised concern over attack on National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, describing the incident as a serious security lapse.

Her remarks came a day after a firing incident at a wedding function in Jammu in which Abdullah was allegedly targeted but remained unharmed. The episode has raised concerns about the safety of political leaders in Jammu and Kashmir and prompted calls for a detailed investigation.
In a post on social media, Mufti said she was shocked by the incident but relieved that Abdullah was safe. “Shocked to hear about the grave attack on Dr Farooq Abdullah sahab. Relieved to know that he’s safe and doing well,” she wrote.
