SRINAGAR: The Government Railway Police (GRP) Katra has ordered a reshuffle of 11 officers, including Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors, and appointed three Additional Station House Officers (SHOs) with immediate effect in the interest of administration and the smooth functioning of the force.
The transfers were ordered by Senior Superintendent of Police, Railways Katra, Sanjay Kumar Kotwal, IPS, through Order No. 419 of 2026, dated July 16, 2026.
According to the order, Inspector Sanjay Raina has been transferred from SHO, Police Station GRP Katra, to GRP Line Katra; Inspector Sandeep Kumar from SHO, Police Station GRP Udhampur, to GRP Line Katra; Inspector Ravi Kumar from SHO, Police Station GRP Reasi, to GRP Line Katra; and Inspector Jaswinder Singh from GRP Line Katra to SHO, Police Station GRP Katra.
Among the Sub-Inspectors, Rakesh Singh, In-charge Police Post GRP Ramnagar, has been posted as SHO, Police Station GRP Udhampur; Bhushan Kumar, In-charge Police Post GRP Dugga, as SHO, Police Station GRP Reasi; Mohd Majnoon from GRP Line Katra as SHO, Police Station GRP Swalakote; Krishan Lal from GRP Line Katra as In-charge Police Post GRP Ramnagar; Abdul Rashid from GRP Line Katra as In-charge Police Post GRP Dugga; Zakir Hussain from Police Station GRP Udhampur to GRP Line Katra; and Darshan Kumar from Police Station GRP Reasi to GRP Line Katra.
The order further appoints ASI (now SI) Gopal Dass (EXJ-945453) as Additional SHO of Police Station GRP Udhampur, SI Parveiz Ahmad (EXK-961653) as Additional SHO of Police Station GRP Reasi, and SI Farooq Ahmad (EXK-901562) as Additional SHO of Police Station GRP Swalakote.
