SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has formally ratified the suspension of a Junior Engineer of the Public Works (R and B) Department who is facing legal proceedings in a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
According to an official order issued from the Civil Secretariat, the government has confirmed the suspension and attachment of Er Abdul Nasir Bali, who is named in FIR No. 13/2022 registered at Chanderkote Police Station.
The decision was issued through Government Order No. 214-PW(R and B) of 2026 and retrospectively validates the disciplinary action initially taken on April 13, 2022, by the Director of Rural Development, Jammu.
The order also confirms Bali’s attachment to the office of the Executive Engineer, Rural Engineering Wing (REW), Udhampur, as directed in the original departmental order.
